What are Elevator Shoes?
Elevator shoes are also known as height increasing shoes, lift shoes or shoe lift shoes. They are specially designed to invisibly increase the height of the wearer. The basic idea is to put thick insoles (lifts) in the shoes, so that the wearer can get taller. (See “Inside Elevator Shoes” for more information.) Elevator shoes look normal from outside. Well designed elevator shoes are as comfortable as normal shoes. It may take several days for wears to get used to it. Normally, elevator shoes increase 2.5-4 inches in height. There are 5 inches extra-height elevator shoes, but it will loose comfort and is more noticeable.
History of Elevator Shoes
You may raise the question “Who invented elevator shoes?” Elevator shoes history can be chased back to early 1500s when cowboy boots came out in Spain. Since 1700s, men’s footwear with Cuban heel became popular along with a brief resurgence in higher-heeled shoes for men.[1]
In modern life, people are more concerned about health. People with flatfoot feel uncomfortable when they wear normal shoes. Some of them try to put soft insoles inside shoes to make to more comfortable. Also, orthopaedic doctors sometimes recommend use thick insoles to help patient increase height. Later on, this kind of thick soft insoles became a shared secret within a particular group of people. Shoes manufactures started to design special shoes with thick insoles and keep the normal look and comfort. They call it “Elevator Shoes” or “Height Increasing Shoes”.
In the past, elevator shoes are only for men but in late 1990s, women’s elevator shoes came out. Although women can wear high-heel shoes or platform shoes to increase height, some women don’t want to show people they wear high-heel shoes. Women’s elevator shoes usually come with flat, low or middle heels with a thick insole.
Inside Elevator Shoes
It seems simple to put thick insoles inside shoes but it’s not that easy to keep the shoes comfortable and look normal. All the components of the shoes need to be re-designed to achieve this goal.

Upper
The upper needs to be designed to accommodate the thick insole. There is more slope between the face and the post. Also, the post curve is higher than normal shoes.
Insole
This is the magic part to increase height. It can be made from plastic, cork, or foam. The front part is lower than the back part. There are different designs in the slope and curve to fit different feet.
Mid-insole
Because insole is usually made with soft and expensive material, it is easy to be worn out. The mid-sole provide some level of buffer between insole and outer-soles. It prevents the deterioration of your insole and provides aeration.
Outer-soles
The outer-insole helps keep the wearer from feeling uncomfortable and allows a natural instep. The natural rubber heels can be replaced by an ordinary heel.
Although the components of elevator shoes are different from normal shoes, it looks just the same when they are assembled.
It is noteworthy that elevator shoes and shoe lifts are different. Shoe lifts are separate thick insoles that can be inserted into any shoes. The disadvantages of lifts are that they need to be replaced every few months (due to hygienic reasons), they may be uncomfortable, and the larger-sized lifts may not fit in smaller shoes.[2]

As we all know, there is no effective way for adult to naturally grow taller. Elevator shoes are designed for people who want to be taller effectively. They are for both men and women, though women’s elevator shoes are not popular. Unfortunately we are unable to customize the height increase level on our shoes at this time. We are working on bringing different heights for our styles and hope they will be available in the near future. All of height increasers in the shoes are sewn into the shoes and are not removable. This ensures the longevity and durability of the shoes.
Will anyone know that I am wearing height increase shoes?
Our shoes are designed with the appearance to be just like any non-height increasing shoe only to be slightly taller in the back. By simply pairing your height increasing shoes with a pair of pants it will cover up the back end of your shoes. Thus making them unnoticeable.

Do I need to make alterations to the length of my pants?
In most cases, there is no need to alter your pants. Although wearing slightly longer trouser with larger legs will help to optimize the invisible effect. Trousers should have sufficient margin so that they nicely fall over the end part of the shoes, where the shoe begins to lift up. Slightly longer pants are recommended for our extra height increase styles.
Is the sizing different for your shoes?
Yes, our sizes are different and need to be converted to find your correct size you need.. Can I put your insoles into “regular” shoes?
Our insoles are designed so that they may be worn with regular shoes. We do recommend that they be worn with high profile shoes to ensure the best comfort. Shoes with low profiles, such as loafers, will not allow the necessary room for your feet when the insoles are inserted. We offer a large variety of insoles that are available to fit the individual needs of our customers.
When will my order be shipped out?
If you are able to place an order for an item online that means we have it in-stock. In-stock items that are ordered by 1:00pm (PST) are shipped on the same business day. Orders placed after 1:00pm and/or during the weekend will be shipped the following business day.
What method of shipping do you use?
We only use UPS as our shipper for USA and for most international customers.
When will I receive my order?

How will the package I receive be like?
To preserve the privacy of our customers all packages are received in a discreet manner. Packages will be arriving wrapped in plain brown paper. This is to ensure that the contents are not disclosed. International packages are shipped with a customs declaration of contents as “Men’s Footwear”.

What is your return policy?
All shoes must be returned in new un-worn condition in order to qualify for a return or exchange within 30 days of the receive date. We must receive the return at our warehouse within those 30 days accompanied by a Return Authorization number. For more details regarding our return policy please refer to the Return Instructions link.
Do I need to fill out a Return Authorization Form?
Yes, all of our exchange/returns require a Return Authorization Number (RA#) prior to the product being sent back to us. After the Return Authorization form is filled out we will issue out a RA#. This is to ensure that we process all of our exchanges/return accordingly and in a timely manner. If orders are sent back to us without a RA# you will forfeit your right to receive a exchange/refund.
I submitted a Return Authorization form and still have not received an RA number what should I do?
An RA# (Return Authorization) will be sent out to you within 2 business days to the email address you filled out on the form. If by that time you still do not receive the email check your junk mail and bulk mail as you email settings may have filter the email there. You may also give our customer service team a call and they will be happy to provide you with your RA#.
If I am returning/exchanging my order at your store will I still need to fill out a Return Authorization Form?
Yes, all returns/exchanges require a Return Authorization number (RA#). Upon arriving to our store just provide our staff with your RA# and we will gladly assist you with your return.
